Solar Electric Solutions For Commercial, Industrial And Businesses

Grid Connected PV Solar

More than 95% of the systems we install are grid connected PV solar systems. The PV solar panels generate electricity for your business. If there is not enough sunshine available to generate the electricity you require, you can take it from the grid and any excess energy you generate can be sold to the grid.
Advantages of grid connected solar PV:
  • Very little maintenance,
  • No battery storage required,
  • Quality Tier 1 solar panels with a 25 year insurance backed warranty,
  • Highly efficient NZ, German and US made inverters,
  • No chance of leaks, frost damage or overheating,
  • Continue to generate energy while you are not operating,
  • Sell excess energy to your energy retailer,
  • Protect yourself against power price increases ,
  • Add value to your building,
  • Reduce your carbon footprint,
  • Add strength to your companies environmental credentials,
  • Return on investment over 15%
What size system will I need and what will it cost?

Many businesses, schools and government departments for example use the bulk of their energy during the day when solar energy is being generated. If we can size the solar system so that it suits the day time consumption, the ROI will be significantly greater.

The size of the system will also be restricted to the space you have available, either on your roof or for a ground mounted type solar array and your budget.

Once we have been through the complete design process we can offer some pricing for complete installed systems to suit your requirements.

Commercial scale installations will generally cost between $2 - $2.50/watt installed, perhaps even less on large scale projects.

Off Grid Power

Off Grid power systems are best suited to businesses that have no access to the grid or the cost to get the grid connected is considerable. The solar energy is stored in a battery bank so that it is available as required and the system would generally be supported by a generator.
Advantages
  • Independence from the national grid,
  • No more ever increasing power bills,
  • Quality Tier 1 solar panels with a 25 year insurance backed warranty,
  • Highly efficient Australian or German made inverters,
  • No power more cuts,
  • Reduce your carbon footprint,
What size system will I need and what will it cost?

Our team of experts will work with you to determine your energy load profile, for which your off grid system design will be based on. It is important to get this design right so that your system performs well for many years to come.

Advice will be offered to you on efficient appliances, machinery and methods to reduce your energy usage, which in turn will reduce the size and cost of your off grid system.

Commercial scale off grid power systems vary in price quite considerably due to variations in load profiles. One of our engineers can work with you to design and quote a system to meet your requirements.

Solar Water Heating

Solar water heating systems use the sun's rays to heat water in a solar collector, which is then stored in an insulated hot water cylinder. On a less sunny day, the

system may need back-up heating, usually provided by electricity or gas.

Commercial solar water heating systems are suited to application where a lot of hot water is consumed regularly, like in dairy farm milking shed or factory where hot water is used to clean down each day.

Advantages
  • Dramatically reduce your hot water heating costs,
  • Low maintenance,
  • The latest international technology.
  • Evacuated tube technology means the system works all year round, not just a summer option.
  • Rigorously tested for New Zealand conditions.
  • Leading performer—as independently tested and shown on the EECA website.
  • Retrofit to your existing cylinder.
  • Outstanding quality product with a 10 year warranty on collectors.
  • Reduce your carbon footprint,
  • Add strength to your companies environmental credentials,
  • Ideal for high hot water users.
What size system will I need and what will it cost? The size system we will recommend to you will depend on the quantity of hot water that is consumed each day and at what temperature. Typically we would recommend approximately 40 solar evacuated collector tubes per 300ltr of hot water consumed.

Commercial scale solar water heating systems vary in price quite considerably due to variations in the type and quantity of the connecting and operational materials required.

Save Money Each year, power prices increase at a rate of around 7.5% on average. Combined with a big drop in price, solar is now a financially sound option. By going solar, you can lock in lower rates for power. While the cost of electricity increases with time, your solar PV will deliver more and more savings as you tap into the free power of Northland’s sun. Increased property value The electricity savings from solar panels translate directly into an increased home resale value. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
