2kWp Case Study
In November 2012 we installed a 2kWp grid tie solar system for Mr Jonas in Nelson. Mr Jonas is a relatively low energy user as he also has solar thermal installed on his house.
The graph on the right demonstrates the daily energy generation the system has produced, which works out at approximately 3,000kWh for 2013.
For the year of 2013 Mr Jonas ended up in credit for $80 with his energy retailer and so he has no power bill.

3.12kWp Case Study
In September 2011 we installed a 3kWp grid tie solar system for Mr Yockney in Blenheim. Mr Yockney is a fairly average energy user and his solar system has more than halved his power bill.
The graph on the right demonstrates the daily energy generation the system has produced, which works out at approximately 4,900kWh for 2012. You will note that this is a fair amount more than we say the system can produce as we would rather under specify the expected production than under specify it.

4kWp Case Study
In April 2013 we installed a 4kWp grid tie solar system for Mr Sims in Taupo. Mr Sims is a fairly high energy user as he runs his home as a B&B as well. The idea was to install a 4kWp system and then if it worked well he would install another 3.5kWp system at a later date on another roof. The first 4kWp system over halved his energy bill and now with the second system installed he no longer has a power bill.

5kWp Case Study
In June 2013 we installed a 5kWp grid tie solar system for Mrs Rogers in Christchurch. Mrs Rogers is a fairly average energy user and so her solar system has almost eliminated her energy bill. Mrs Rogers is considering adding another two panels to her system to get rid of the small amount of energy remaining which she is paying for from her energy retailer however she is very happy with what the system has achieved.

Typical Applications

This example is of a 10kWp grid connected PV Solar system installed on a Warehouse and Logistics facility. This facility operates mainly throughout the day and therefore the bulk of the energy generated is consumed on site.

This example is of a 10kWp grid connected PV Solar system on an Adventure Lodge. While the facility is not being used or has low occupancy, excess energy is sold to the grid which builds credit when the energy retailer for higher occupancy, high demand periods.

This example is of a 50kWp grid connected PV Solar system on a large Wheel & Tyre Warehouse. This operations runs mainly throughout the day and therefore the bulk of the energy generated is consumed on site.

This example is of a 20kWp grid connected PV Solar system on a School. Schools are perfect for solar as the bulk of their energy is consumed during the day while the children are on site. Children can also study the solar generation as part of their tuition.

This example is of an 80kWp grid connected PV Solar system on a Dairy Farm. Dairy farmers consume a lot of energy in the dairy shed heating water, pumping and for the cooling of milk each day.
