Grid Connected PV Solar

More than 95% of the systems we install are grid connected PV solar systems. The PV solar panels generate electricity for your home. If there is not enough sunshine available to generate the electricity you require, you can take it from the grid and any excess energy you generate can be sold to the grid.

What size system will I need and what will it cost?

An average household in New Zealand consumes around 8,500kWh of energy each year, which is around $250 per month depending on the rate you pay for your energy.

Off Grid Power

Off Grid power systems are best suited to homes that have no access to the grid or the cost to get the grid connected is considerable. The solar energy is stored in a battery bank so that it is available as required and the system would generally be supported by a generator.

Advice will be offered to you on efficient appliances and methods to reduce your energy usage, which in turn will reduce the size and cost of your off grid system.Off grid power systems generally cost more than grid connected systems as you will require batteries and a backup energy source such as a generator.We offer a free design and quote service to all our clients.Our off grid systems start at approximately $15,000 for a fully installed package.

Solar Water Heating

Solar water heating systems use the sun’s rays to heat water in a solar collector, which is then stored in an insulated hot water cylinder. On a less sunny day, the system may need back-up heating, usually provided by electricity, gas or wetback fire.
