REC Certified Solar Professionals

The REC Certified Solar Professional Program was created to provide many advantages to both installers and end-customers. Not every installer can call themselves an ‘REC Certified Solar Professional’: members of the Program are carefully selected to undergo a unique installer certification program. Through this, REC ensures that solar installers are equipped with the know-how and best practices to install REC panels and can assure you that, in addition to high-quality REC solar panels, you will receive a high-quality solar installation.

Why should you choose an REC Certified Solar Professional installer?

Quality product, Quality installation
Knowing that not only is the panel of high quality, but also that the person installing it is highly skilled and trained, gives you greater peace of mind.

Added comfort
Take comfort in knowing that your solar installer has been carefully selected, trained, and certified by REC. To be an ‘REC Certified Solar Professional’, the installer must be able to offer best-in-class service and reliability.

Extended warranty
By choosing an REC Certified Solar Professional, you can benefit from REC’s unique REC ProTrust Warranty package at no extra cost. The REC ProTrust Warranty gives you 5 years extra product warranty cover (25 years total) and up to 25-year labor cover* in addition to 25-year performance warranty coverage.

What is a PV solar panel?

‘PV’ stands for ‘photovoltaic’, a term used to describe the process of converting solar energy directly into electrical energy. The word ‘photovoltaic’ comes from a combination of the Greek word ‘phos’ (meaning light) and ‘volt’ (a unit of measurement for the size of electrical force). The photovoltaic effect was discovered by Alexander Becquerel in 1839. When light photons hit a solar cell, electrons are stimulated to migrate, and an electrical direct current is produced between the side turned towards the light and the side turned away from the light. Electrical current flows as soon as the electrical circuit is closed.

Why we only use REC solar panels

Founded in 1996, REC Group is an international pioneering solar energy company dedicated to empowering consumers with clean, affordable solar power. As Solar’s Most Trusted, REC is committed to high quality, innovation, and a low carbon footprint in the solar materials and solar panels it manufactures. Headquartered in Norway with operational headquarters in Singapore, REC also has regional hubs in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

PRODUCT QUALITY

REC's internal testing is up to three times as stringent as industry standards – meaning that when we send out our panels for certification or testing, we know they will pass. But beyond attaining a certification, we want our panels to be reliable for the lifetime of the product and perform strongly in even the most extreme environments.

REC products and production processes are also certified and endorsed by independent third parties according to multiple global and regional industry standards, solidifying the fact that REC panels meet the highest quality standards required for a long-lasting product. REC panels have also been recently recognised as a Top Performer in the DNV-GL Module Reliability Scorecard, proving their market-leading quality.

INDUSTRY-LEADING WARRANTY

REC offers an industry-leading warranty for Solar Panels.

End customers with installations up to 25 kW enjoy maximum comfort and peace of mind knowing that they have a 25-year warranty for each product, performance, and labour. Systems between 25-500 kW have the same 25-year product and performance warranties, plus 10-year labour warranty.

SUSTAINABILITY

Solar panel recycling: Creating clean and green energy through solar panels would only be half as successful if the panels could not be disposed of properly at the end of their life. REC makes a concerted effort to ensure its products are durable and recyclable.

Low carbon footprint: Thanks to REC's rigorous efforts, REC panels have a low carbon footprint, as evaluated in 2016 by Deloitte SA in Singapore and critically reviewed by 2.-0 LCA Consultants in Denmark. Read our white paper to find out how REC achieves a class-leading carbon footprint. In addition, panels made with REC's award-winning TwinPeak technologies have been certified by CERTISOLIS for their low carbon footprint, qualifying them for French tender.

BANKABILITY

Financial strength: When choosing the brand of solar panels for your installation, it is important to consider the financial health of the manufacturer. After all, you want to be sure that they will be around to honour warranties if necessary.

Steady, sustainable growth: REC has grown at a steady and sustainable pace, ensuring that our commitment to quality is maintained. This growth has been driven mainly by technological advancements and increasing demand for REC. Throughout the years, REC’s continuous focus on product quality and customer satisfaction have helped us be recognised as industry leaders in many areas.

Here for the long term: Despite challenging market conditions that the industry has faced in recent years, REC has maintained a healthy financial position, demonstrating that REC is and will be a long-term player in the solar industry. Because of REC’s sustainable business practices and continuous delivery of high-quality solar solutions, REC is preferred by banks, lenders, investors, and end-customers as a sound investment.
